Version1- Individual Project Draft
Because the weather is like an eternal spring in Taiwan, I can’t surely discern what the differences between the four seasons. Of course, we always wear a T-shirt with a jacket or just an original shirt everyday. Simply out, we don’t need to completely change our clothing style due to the change of the season in Taiwan. When I came to United State, especially studying in Seattle, I’m so impressed by the climate changes during all the year round. There are absolutely spring, summer, fall and winter. Hence, I can enjoy all kinds of clothing style and wear the latest fashion style every season.
In my story, I will collect some fashion information and some brand clothing catalog since summer 2006 to spring 2007 and interview some people (I prefer focusing on girls) and request them to offer some photos about different clothing that were put on in the different season. If I could do it well, I would produce some videos by shooting people along the street or editing some existing videos which are taken by me. Moreover, I will choose some songs that won’t annoy audiences as my background music to lead audiences to easily enter the four seasons in Seattle. The ideal display of my story is like online fashion show or online fashionable magazine.
Can you image that? The cute dress is under the cherry of spring, the sexy bikini is on the beach of summer, a wrap jacket is under the maple of autumn, and a scarf is in the snow of winter. I think that some articles, some videos, and a lot of pictures will help audiences easily understand and know the true clothing change and feelings about all changes during all the year round.

Fun! Could have layout similar to an online magazine e.g. http://entertainment.polo.com/magazine/default.asp

How about using seasonal-themed music for your background music? I’m thinking of The Four Seasons by Vivaldi because classical music makes everything seem classier (plus, it’s often easy to time a slideshow to the music), but you might think of something else that evokes seasons.
You could definitely tell an interesting story this way–particularly if you used pictures of the same woman for each season.

It’s great that you are thinking of thematic website!
Remember that the textual portion of the site is due in two weeks. I think you’ll want to get the draft text completed as soon as possible so that Meg & I (and classmates) can give you feedback on the English.

I’m curious about the content of videos. What kind of quesiton and philosiphy will be mentioned in video? and I agree with Stephanie that you can let the layouy like a female fashion magzine. Furthermore, you can focus on 20-30 years old ladies to narrow down your topic.

There is a blog that I check out everyday called the Sartorialist, sartorialist.com. It’s not that I think you should use it but if you page through it, you will note the change of seasons on the people in the photos. Even the backgrounds sometimes tell you what season it is.
I especially like the idea of how different seasons have an effect on us and we sometimes respond in the way we dress and how we dress effects how we feel. Very interesting idea; I hope you concentrate more on the individuals and how they feel about seasons and fashion.

You may want to consider using Vivaldi’s “The Four Season” to begin the progam – but, of course, that’s classical and not hip-hop!
If you want to be more enticing or exciting, you can use a fashion runway video with some contemporary music that has camera flash popping on models, etc. to catch people’s attention.
Catalogue photos are a good idea for some of the shots. . .

This sounds like a lot of fun. I am interested to see what you say about the styles for spring and summer. I also see a lot of potential for interactivity in this topic. Readers could choose what season they want to look at, for example.
I like the comment about classical music. You probably wouldn’t have to worry about copyright as much too, though I’m not sure what the rules are exactly on that.
